Question by Kat Strat: Is there an online self-assessment for Celiac Disease?
I think I might have Celiac Disease. My mom said there’s an online self-assessment I can take to see if I should be screened for the disease… I can’t find it, though. Can anyone help me out?

No, it is not an on-line test, unless there have been MAJOR technological advances in the Internet.
You have to get a test for antibodies (as it is an allergy) from the Doctor. That is the only way to know for sure. My entire family has Celiac Disease and thought I might have it (I have IBS). Went to the Dr. (who confirmed that I had to have a blood test for antibodies) and was confirmed that I do not have it.

This was being discussed on “The View” today becuz one of the hosts has it. Maybe look on abc.com or whichever network that show is on, and review the info from that show. If I’m not mistaken, they provided info and websites about that disease. Hope this helps. 🙂
Not that I am aware of. You need to ask your doctor to run bloodwork for Celiac and then consult with a GI for an endoscope for an official diagnosis.
