Gluten Free Chocolate Cake Recipe
Makes two 9″ cakes
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups gluten-free flour (NOT GF cake flour), sifted
1/2 cup Hershey’s cocoa powder sifted
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking soda sifted
3/4 tsp guar gum or xanthan gum
5 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp vinegar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 egg
1 cup water
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 325 F. Grease and flour (with GF flour) two 9″ pans (square or round). In a large bowl, mix all of the dry ingredients. Add the liquid ingredients and mix well. Pour evenly into pans. Bake for 35-45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
