The kind at a mexican food restaurant?

Answer by miss medic
Usually, however, some of them have started to use the FLOUR tortilla chips instead of the CORN tortilla chips. Usually you can ask, and they will know which they are before bringing them out to you.
I follow a gluten free diet, and I use tortilla chips from time to time as a starch for some meals. (I prefer the yellow corn ones myself as they are thicker and hold up better but, again, they should know if they are CORN or FLOUR chips, if you ask.
Good luck!

most likely they cook the chips in the same oil as the fried burritos so no you can not

Be sure to ask the restaurant if they use corn or flour tortillas. If they are not sure, ask to see the ingredient panel from the packaging the tortillas were packaged in. Also ask if they have dedicated fryers for the chips. If the chips are fried in the same fryer as other gluten containing foods, then the chips are not safe for you to eat. Most servers should be able to answer your questions or be able to get the answers for you.
